ScoreMux Support

Prelaunch draft. ScoreMux 1.0 has not been released. These instructions describe the launch candidate.

ScoreMux is a sheet-music app for iPhone and iPad from Lulabean LLC.

Get help

Email support@scoremux.com.

Include your device model, app version, and the steps that caused the problem. Send screenshots or files only when you want the developer to receive them. Do not send your whole library for an ordinary support question.

Mail delivers to Max Michael's Fastmail account. Max alone has access. No fixed support-mail retention period or automatic deletion routine is set.

Beta testers can also send feedback through TestFlight. Take a screenshot in ScoreMux and attach your notes in TestFlight.

How do I import music?

Use Choose files or Choose a folder. You can also share a PDF to ScoreMux from Files or another app.

Where does my work save?

ScoreMux saves locally first. When iCloud Sync is on, supported work also copies to your private iCloud under your Apple Account.

Device-only mode stops that sync. It does not disable Files providers, exported iCloud Drive files, or device backups. There is no ScoreMux account.

Why does ScoreMux request microphone permission?

The tuner listens live without saving audio. The reader's visual tuner can keep listening after the full tuner closes.

Practice can record microphone audio, save a take for replay, and sync or share it. Automatic input can choose the microphone when no enabled MIDI input is available.

Choose timer input in Practice when you do not want to save audio or MIDI.

What do camera and nearby permissions do?

Camera permission lets you photograph music. Nearby camera mode sends an iPhone's photos and live previews to the waiting iPad.

Local-network permission supports nearby transfers, Play Together, camera transfer, and Keyglow controls. Bluetooth supports nearby camera requests. Notifications support optional camera alerts and Practice reminders.

You can change these permissions in iPhone or iPad Settings.

Where do Keyglow recordings save?

On iPad, Keyglow saves MIDI sessions locally. It can export performances as video. Photos add permission lets you save an exported video to Photos.

Saved Keyglow sessions and settings also travel in a format 6 setup backup.

Does a setup backup include Practice recordings?

A format 6 backup includes validated saved Practice books, journals, sessions, and takes. It also includes saved Keyglow sessions and settings.

The backup includes the supported saved library work, crop originals, durable marking history, saved corrections, page photos, and saved drafts.

Finish saving or recovering recordings before exporting.

Unsaved recordings, incoming files, general preferences, device identity, pairing secrets, account and sync state, and purchase authority do not travel.

Formats 1–5 omit Practice and Keyglow sessions.

Will restore replace my current library?

Restore adds missing work. It keeps current records and whole documents when IDs conflict. The result reports the kept records and files.

Restore does not replace a populated library with an exact historical copy.

ScoreMux keeps the complete incoming archive locally. Use the result's share action to save a separate copy. Keep your source backup until you check the result.

The retained archive has no fixed expiry and is excluded from future portable backups. Deleting a restored recording or session does not remove its copy from that archive.

A successful app-data erase removes the local retained archive. Copies saved elsewhere remain.

Does ScoreMux change my original PDFs?

Markings and cuts save as ScoreMux work alongside imported music. Exports can include those changes. Keep your original PDFs outside the app.

How do I delete a Practice recording?

Open the session from Practice History and use its menu.

Delete recording keeps the session summary. Delete session removes the whole session. Synced deletions reach iCloud and other enrolled devices when sync succeeds.

Copies in exported files, shared files, or retained incoming backups remain separate.

See the privacy policy for storage, permissions, and deletion details.
